National Fitness Awards
It’s been a year like no other for the fitness sector and the wider world and we would have loved to have recognised the stoicism, determination and sheer hard work of our industry professionals at our end-of-year awards celebration.
But after careful deliberation and discussions with the venue and our sponsors, we feel that the most responsible course of action to protect the health and safety of our nominees and sponsors is to cancel this year’s awards and look ahead to 2021 and brighter times.

The date is set, the venue booked and the glittering National Fitness Awards’ evening will be back at the fabulous Athena in Leicester on Friday November 26 2021.
Despite the obvious disappointment,  we are excited to have a full 15 months to ensure that next year’s celebration of excellence is the biggest and best yet.
All nominations for this year’s awards will be carried over to next year – and nominees will have the opportunity to update their nominations should they wish to ahead of the closing date. Nominations will remain open throughout the year closing on August 31 2021.
Thank you for all your nominations and support and we look forward to celebrating your achievements in 2021. We would like to thank our sponsors for your continued loyalty and support.

In the meantime, in view of the massive challenges that the industry has faced this year and the sheer hard work, innovation and determination that has been needed to keep going we will be launching our 2020 Roll of Honour in the coming weeks. We want to hear all your stories about selfless individuals who have gone above and beyond during lockdown, as well as your stories of innovation, bravery and survival. Watch out for details on our social media pages, in WorkOut Weekly and in WorkOut magazine.

THE National Fitness Awards, recognise achievement and excellence in all corners of the fitness industry and are organised by Script Events in partnership with WorkOut magazine.

The awards are open to any gyms which will have been operating for two years or more on the date of the 2020 awards. Facilities that have been open for less than two years can enter the Newcomer of the Year category.
